How to enable Two-Step Verification in the NexusCloud panel¶

Two-Step Verification (2FA) adds an extra layer of security when you log in to the NexusCloud panel.

Activation steps¶

1. Download an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator.
2. Open Google Authenticator, click +, then choose Enter a setup key.
3. Open the NexusCloud panel, then go to Account Settings and select Account.
4. Scroll down, then click Enable Two Step Verification.
5. Copy the setup key shown in the panel. For example, abdfsuwk aushwlwo aosjuwop 615ad.
6. Return to Google Authenticator, click +, then choose Enter a setup key.
7. Enter an account name, such as Hewan.
8. Paste the setup key you copied, then save it.
9. Copy the six-digit code that appears, for example 123456. The code changes about every 30 seconds, so use it quickly.
10. Return to the panel and enter the verification code.
11. Enter your panel account password, then confirm activation.

Two-Step Verification (2FA) is now active.

Notes¶

• Keep access to your authenticator app. You need it each time you log in.
• If you lose the setup key or verification code, contact NexusCloud support.
