How to use the Server Importer feature¶
Server Importer transfers files via SFTP from an old host or node to a new NexusCloud server, such as when moving from a Lite plan to a Medium plan.
What you need before you start¶
Prepare the SFTP details from your old host or node:
- User or SFTP username
- Password. If you reset the password in the old host's panel, use the password created by that reset.
- Server IP or server address
- Server Port
Check your SFTP details
Make sure the user, password, server address, and port came from the old host or node. Server Importer needs these details to connect.
Steps¶
- Open
https://panel.nexuscloud.id/. - Select the NexusCloud server that will receive the imported files.
- If you are using a phone, click the hamburger menu (
=) to open the panel navigation. - Scroll down, then go to Settings.
- Scroll down, then click Import Server.
- Under Server Type, keep the option set to SFTP.
- Fill in User, Password, Server IP, and Server Port using the details copied from the old host or node.
- Fill in Source Folder and Destination Folder as needed. To move all files, use
/as the folder. For a specific folder, for example, use/worldas both the source and destination. - Make sure Delete All Files is disabled.
- Click Import Server, then wait for the process to finish. It usually takes around 3–5 minutes. If the page has not changed after more than 3 minutes, refresh the website.
- When the process finishes, check the files on the destination server.
Example values¶
Use these values as an example of the required format:
User: yeyboyahh.oa01hk7
Password: hengkerwibutzy
Server IP: jean.nexuscloud.id
Server Port: 12345
Source Folder: /world
Destination Folder: /world
Disable Delete All Files
Do not enable Delete All Files unless you fully understand its effect. This option can delete existing files on the destination server before the import starts.
Tips¶
- Make sure the destination server has enough storage for the files being transferred.
- Do not change the source data while the import is running.
- Import time depends on file size and SFTP connection speed.
- If the process appears stuck for more than 3–5 minutes, refresh the panel page to check its latest status.
Troubleshooting¶
- Check the Server IP and Server Port from the old host or node again.
- Make sure the SFTP User and Password are correct, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and special characters.
- Make sure the destination server has enough storage and that the SFTP account can access the source folder.
