This list covers popular plugins often used on Paper or Purpur servers. Only install from trusted sources, and always check version compatibility.

Commonly recommended plugins¶

ViaVersion¶

Allows newer Java clients to join older servers.

ViaBackwards¶

Used when you also need to support older Java clients, depending on the version combination you are running.

Geyser and Floodgate¶

Used for Java and Bedrock crossplay.

EssentialsX¶

A general utility plugin for commands like home, warp, and many other admin features.

ProtocolLib¶

A library frequently required by other plugins.

Vault¶

A common library for economy, permissions, and chat systems.
