How to create a backup in NexusCloud

Backups help protect your server data before updates, reinstalls, or major configuration changes.

Steps

  1. Open https://panel.nexuscloud.id/.
  2. Select the server you want to back up.
  3. Open the Backups menu.
  4. Click Create Backup.
  5. Enter an easy-to-recognize backup name.
  6. Click Start Backup.
  7. Wait until the backup status finishes processing.

Backup duration

Backup time depends on the size of your server files and the system queue. Small backups can finish quickly, while large ones may take longer.

Backup tips

  • Create a backup before version updates, reinstalls, egg changes, or deleting important files.
  • Use a clear name, for example before-update-1.21.11 or backup-2026-03-08.
  • Delete old backups you no longer need so your storage quota stays free.

After the backup finishes

  • Make sure the backup shows up in the backup list.
  • Keep a local copy as well for very important data when possible.
  • If the backup fails, check the server's storage or try again a little later.
