How to configure mob spawn limits on Paper, Purpur, and Pufferfish

Steps

  1. Open https://panel.nexuscloud.id/.
  2. If you are using a phone, click the hamburger menu (=) to open the panel navigation.
  3. Click the Files menu.
  4. Scroll down and find the file named bukkit.yml.
  5. Open the file and scroll down until you find the spawn-limits section.
  6. Set the values to your preference. Recommended values for better TPS:
spawn-limits:
  monsters: 35
  animals: 8
  water-animals: 4
  water-ambient: 5
  water-underground-creature: 3
  axolotls: 3
  ambient: 2

Still getting low TPS?

If TPS is still unstable after applying these values, try lowering monsters and ambient first. You can also purchase a server optimisation service in the NexusCloud Discord.

  1. Click Save Content and restart the server for the changes to take effect.
