How to restore a backup in the NexusCloud panel¶
Use backup restore to roll your server files back to the state they were in when the backup was made. Use it when the server has issues after an update, a configuration change, or an accidental file deletion.
Server must be offline
Before restoring, make sure the server is offline. Restoring while the server is running can corrupt files, lose data, or fail outright.
Steps¶
- Open
https://panel.nexuscloud.id/. - Select your server.
- Open the Backups menu. If it isn't visible in the sidebar, scroll down until you find the Backups section.
- Find the backup you want to restore in the backup list.
- Click the three-dot icon (
⋮) next to the backup name, then choose Restore. - Wait for the restore process to finish.
After the restore finishes¶
- Your server files will be replaced with the contents of the backup you chose.
- Any changes made after the backup was created will be lost.
- If the server is still stopped, start it again from the Console menu by clicking Start.
Tips¶
- Create a new backup before restoring, so you have a safe point to fall back to if the restore doesn't turn out as expected.
- If the restore fails, check the server's storage. The restore process sometimes needs enough free space to hold the backup contents.
